About the Position

The Sullivan Center is looking for an Interactive Intern to develop content and applications for digital platforms including the Web and mobile devices. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while contributing interactive knowledge to a worthy cause.

Resposibilities

• Searches the Web & directories for relevant, quality content (podcasts, video, blogs, etc.)

• Performs data entry for the digital asset management application

• Generates spreadsheets reflecting site wide Web traffic statistics and trends

• Creates basic instruction guides for media work stations

• Working directly with the sites' two editor/producers to edit incoming content

• Improve the sites' navigability

• Develop new site features and blogs

• Work on new ways to engage readers and promote interactivity

• Manipulates images in Photoshop

• Reports on local events

• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Strong organizational and research skills

• Ability to work independently according to tight deadlines and to balance multiple assignments

• Interest in exploring features unique to the Interactive medium

• Highly motivated individuals with excellent oral and written communication skills

• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word as well as strong experience doing online research. The ideal candidate also has knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, video compression tools, and basic HTML

• Understanding of Web statistics helpful

About the Position

The Sullivan Center has an opening for a Press Assistant. The Press Assistant will work at the center and will be responsible for writing, editing, developing briefings and research projects, monitoring the media, pitching stories, and providing general media support.

Resposibilities

• Write and pitch press releases to regional, local, and ethnic press

• Develop and research media ideas

• Monitor daily print, online, and television coverage

• Maintain and update media lists

• Other duties as deemed necessary

About the Position

The Sullivan Center seeks an intern with experience in journalism or public policy research to assist staff in researching a variety of issues impacting Atlanta, primarily on studies related to homeless prevention. The internship is a minimum 20-hour a week commitment. Responsibilities include extensive phone interviews, Web research, attending policy meetings and writing. Other duties include coordinating meetings with government officials, maintaining the Center's database and assisting on all reports.

About the Position

The Sullivan Center is looking for a social service intern. Intern will work closesly with staff, particularly case workers, to provide non-legal assistance to clients throughout The Sulivan Center's programs.

Resposibilities

• Assist Case Managers with day to day needs of clients (set up appointments, assist in apartment set-up, provide transportation to appointments, teach skills needed for self-sufficiency, etc.)

• Attend regular meetings and assist in various tasks around the office

• Ability and desire to work with people from various cultural, religious, and social backgrounds

The Sullivan Center has an opening for a Marketing Analytics Intern. This position is instrumental in the development and delivery of business intelligence reports, making actionable data and analysis easily accessible to business decision makers.

Resposibilities

• Provide insight and actionable recommendations for improving online marketing campaigns through in-depth analysis of website usage data

• Identify opportunities for improvement in the website design, layout and navigation

• Support the staff to identify opportunities for better marketing on the website

• Stay informed about new current trends and best practices in online marketing, website merchandising and website design

About the Position

The Sullivan Center has an opening for a Financial Analysis Internship. The intern will help manage the Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasury function of The Sullivan Center. He/She will learn budgeting analysis and treasury management under the guidance of the Deputy Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasury.

Resposibilities

• Perform routine accounting duties, such as account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation

• Preparing monthly budget comparison reports for all sites discussing material variance with site directors and department heads

• Recommending/preparing budget modifications as required
